Peru 2017
In July we went on an Exodus Travel tour of Peru for 14 days with my sister and brother-in-law, Liz and Steve from the UK. There were 18 of us from five different countries and our guide, Raul from Lima. Julian and I spent a couple of days in Lima before the group arrived. We travelled by coach which allowed us to see a lot of the country but also had to contend with truck accidents and a teachers strike march which occupied the road for 4 hours! It was quite a challenging tour with altitude affecting most people to some extent and lots of long days travelling but the group was great! Peru is a fascinating country, the people very friendly and helpful and the scenery and sights stunning! Comments below.

A bus shot of the start of our ascent into the Andes the next morning, the start of a two day drive to Cusco. We left Nazca and started climbing right away. The road was good but many extra trucks taking this route due to an earthquake in southern Peru the week before closing a major road.
