New Zealand South Island
We crossed by ferry to the south island and toured around covering parts of each coast and some of the interior southern Alps! The weather was great, scenery wonderful and we made it to the area around Queenstown where the fall colours are best at just the right time! Great planning! Photos follow the route we took. After leaving Dunedin we drove to the south coast and the Catlins, a hilly area with forests and waterfalls interspersed with rolling agricultural land and interesting coastline. We detoured to Nugget Point where there is a lighthouse at the end of a small rocky headland with views along the cliffs to the south.
