Welcome to the web site of Maggie Sale

 

Maggie has been enthusiastically pursuing photography since the early 1990’s.  Working with her husband Julian, she is making her photography available in the form of photographic art cards, commercial and limited edition prints, as well as digital images for print and web applications.

Originally from England, she has lived in Canada for over 35 years with her husband and family. For most of those years Maggie lived in Toronto, but in 2009, she and Julian relocated to Guelph, Ontario. Most of her photography is outdoors and often involves travel, both of which she loves. Maggie also has an extensive portfolio of images of Toronto which can be found at www.torontoimages.ca

While living in Toronto, Maggie was actively involved for many years in the executive of The Etobicoke Camera Club in Toronto, www.etobicokecameraclub.org and is a former president of the club and an Honorary Life Member.  She recently became a member of the Grand River Imaging and Photographic Society (GRIPS) www.gripskw.ca. Maggie helps promote photography as a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA). www.capacanada.ca  

Maggie is also a member of the Edgelight Photographic Group, which focuses on print exhibitions.  She is also a presenter and photographic judge with the Greater Toronto Council of Camera Clubs.  www.gtccc.ca

Maggie is internationally published and the recipient of a variety of awards.  She is the photographic illustrator for a book written by Linda Watson called "Facing Death - A Companion in Words and Images"  www.authorlindawatson.com which was published in July 2009 by Health Professions Press and is the recent winner of 3 awards.

In November, 2009, Facing Death won a National Best Books 2009 Award in the category, Spirituality: Journaling & Quotes, by USA Book News. This was followed in May, 2010 by the Independent Book Publishers Association’s prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award in the Gift Book category. In July 2010, Facing Death was honoured with a silver award in the Book category at the National Mature Media Awards. Books can be ordered from Maggie Sale Photography Book Store.

Maggie has a contract with Images 2000, a Toronto based wholesale supplier of printed art for the commercial and home decor market.
